Vera Tracy Open Studio Workshop sponsored by Watauga Valley Art League and the Newell-Hendershot Watermedia Exhibition. September 25 and 26, 2010
Vera
Tracy is a Northeast Tennessee artist known
for her eclectic and unique approach to painting and other art forms as
well. Working one on one with workshop
participants in the Kingsport Art Guild studio, Vera will open the eyes of
participants to new directions with their work, capitalize on their strong
points, and have them thinking outside the box.
She has studied intensely with both George James and Alex Powers, and
works in a variety of mediums, her work ranges from representational to
abstract. While this workshop focuses on
watermedia, participants are encouraged to bring their own projects or ideas
and work in any water media, experimenting with new materials and techniques
during the two and a half day workshop.
Those who have wanted to try Yupo, or watercolor crayon will enjoy the
techniques Vera has to share.
Cost of the workshop is $150,
registration form will be available with the prospectus or upon request. Tentative deadline for registration and 50%
deposit is August 15, 2010, with balance due on September 10th. Participants limited to 15.
